Not only Ralph Lauren can be proud of his charitable giving, but also Christian Siriano. The CFDA developer approved the work of making a health mask for health care workers back on March 22nd, producing 300 to 500 masks per day. Now, a designer has made a 12,000-color face mask for a medical team in town.

Fighting the COVID-19 Battle

As such, the product type will be donated to the Italian Department of Defense and the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Also, the brand will launch its own fundraising platform #GucciComunity where its fans will be able to donate to the WHO program.

Similarly, French LVMH and its owner, Bernard Arnault, have developed a hand sanitizer for French authorities and government hospitals. Besides, it has ordered 40 million masks from China to distribute to the country’s health systems. On the other hand, Michael Kors (founder of Capri Holdings and co-owner of Versace and Jimmy Choo) and Capri Holdings pledged $ 3 million to fight the coronavirus. However, 2 of those millions came from Michael himself to help aid efforts in NYC, distributing those two million between New York University Langone and New York-Presbyterian hospitals ($ 750,000 each), a $ 250,000 donation to A Common Threat (built by CFDA and Vogue), and ultimately $ 250,000 in the Love of God We Deliver.

As for Versace, Donatella Versace donated € 200,000 to the student care department in San Raffaele, on the other hand, Jimmy Choo in the UK will donate $ 250,000 per person to the World Health Organization’s Solidarity Response Fund and the National Health Service.

Back in the U.S., PVH Corp. (Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation) has pledged $ 1 million in relief assistance to COVID-19, as well as to provide more than $ 2 million worth of protective equipment for New York’s Montefiore Health System. Also, the chairman and CEO of PVH Corp, Manny Chirico revealed that his company is working hard to protect its business and business partners, given that Chirico is recovering from coronavirus itself:

“As I work with our global leadership team to tackle the strategic direction of our business, how we use it as a collective citizen is an important part of our conversations.”

As we see countless efforts are being made across the fashion industry and the luxury industry, hopefully at the same time getting this test facing humanity and waiting to see the light after so much darkness.

In the meantime, all we can do is address these extreme actions taken by our communities. Or we can go to our local stores and buy some for the weekend, we can help by donating whatever we want (and can do), like the best designers. Also, buy other things online like on Lil Peep Merchandise.

Moreover, all we can do is be patient who will be our participant and should feel out of place in our comfort zone, even if we are in our own home.
